Curly Birch from Finland, for professional makers
Masur and Karelian birch in blocks, custom shapes or full planks. Natural or stabilized, cut to your specs and shipped in bulk from Jakobstad, Finland.
Straight from the source
Curly birch, also known as Karelian birch or Masur birch, is a variety of silver birch with grain that grows in waves and swirls. It is rare, dense, and no two pieces are alike. We supply it in volume, as planks or cut-to-size pieces, directly from Finland.
Three grades
Standard: clear curly figure. Best value for series production.
Super: more even figure, for pieces where the wood is the star.
Extreme: only the best hand-picked pieces. Maximum figure for exclusive lines.
Tip: ask us for photos, or even better: samples of each grade and whatever finishing you would like to feel in your own hand.
